Germany vs. Argentina

[CRAZY ASS GERMANS VIDEO]

Today was all about The Game. The city is waaay busier today. Everyone’s in town for the Germany/Argentina game. First off though is a little thing that caught my eye on a poster. A sand sculpture exhibit near one of the stations. Headed over there first and checked out some of the remarkable work. I just wouldn’t have the patience for that.

The funniest thing is that when you walk in and come around the corner you’re face to face with the main sculpture. Problem is… is doesn’t look like what it’s supposed to look like. It’s supposed to be a a guy with his arm holding the World Cup on his head. Well, let’s just say it doesn’t look like that at all and looks much more like a very private moment between a man and his ‘lil buddy. [Judge for yourself.] Ha ha ha… that’s awesome! Everyone that came around the corner was funny as you see them smile really big when they realize what they’re looking at. Or not really looking at. Good fun.

After the sculpture thingy we headed over to Fan Fest in the Tiergarten. This was where the day was going to get crazy. And it didn’t disappoint. What a blast! Soooo many people just having a good time. Food, rides, giant TV screens, etc. I could write a thousand words and not really capture so tah dah… a video clip. 9 minutes of goofiness. There was also a map with pins where you could put in where you came from. Kinda interesting but since there was a guy from Easter Island attending the World Cup I think the accuracy might need some fine tuning.

After the game we walked through Fan Fest a bit more and then headed back home. Making it an early night as it’s a travel day tomorrow and have to get packed and such.
