I&#8217;ve grown to love the occasional excitement from an earthquake. Felt in San Francisco and all the way down to L.A. They&#8217;re about equidistant from the epicenter, so it makes sense. Still nothing like the &#8217;89 San Francisco earthquake that I had to squat down to the ground. Ok, yeah, that one was a bit to much earthquake. It&#8217;s so easy today to just open a web browser and get seismic information [<a href=\"javascript:void(0)\" onclick=\"window.open('http:\/\/quake.wr.usgs.gov\/recenteqs\/latest.htm')\">LINK<\/a>] in a matter of seconds. Back in the day I remember running to the TV to wait for news from Cal Tech and &#8220;that earthquake lady&#8221; Kate Hutton [<a href=\"javascript:void(0)\" onclick=\"window.open('http:\/\/www.advocate.com\/html\/stories\/833\/833_kate_hutton.asp')\">LINK<\/a>]. I think she was probably the first woman I recognized as being a lesbian.
