Day 14 & 15 – I’ll take Potpourri for 100, Alex.

Yesterday and today are a mixed bag of sights. Yesterday was lying around the house and my parents showing me things I’m going to inherit. ha. In a light-hearted way. So just a day of relaxing. Today though was a trip into San Diego. Mom and I started out by stopping by her local drive-through coffee hut. Of course they all know her and greet her like she’s the queen of Fallbrook. According to Dad he keeps the place in business.

We headed down to a place called Liberty Station. It’s a really nice place that was created by taking some former Navy barracks and boot camp place and turned it into an arts and shopping district. It’s really nice. I’m usually very skeptical of places like this but my guard came down very quickly. I might finally admit that there’s something in San Diego I like besides the Zoo. We ended the visit with a bite to eat at the Corvette Diner. The website gives a better idea than my photos which were crap. An old school diner with neon and such. The real reason for going was my dad went though boot camp here and lived in one of the barracks. They have a nice big old style postcard painted in the middle of the marketplace recognizing the Navy presence. Nice to see.

After a few hours we head into another area of San Diego for me to hit up a camera shop. I picked up some film, another film holder and a light meter that is more about the looks than actually needing another meter. And that was that.
