chase the light

Had lunch with my parents today. We went over to The Grove to Wood Ranch and watched the World Cup. We had started watching the game at my house but then at half time we were starving and I knew they’d have the game on at the restaurant. So we wandered over and finished the game over there. Walked around a bit and I noticed Ed Burns was going to be at the Apple store at 4pm.

After my parents left I went back over to the Apple Store and listened in to what he had to say about filming on a shoestring budget. It was kind of interesting, but the downside is every time they have one of these Apple events it’s always a big product placement ad “blah blah blah Apple this, Apple that, Final Cut, iMovie, G5, flat screen monitor, OSX, etc. Gets a little much, but it’s kinda cool they invite people to share the stories of how they work. Still kinda hot out, looks likes it’s going to be a long hot summer.
