Jeff Flounder Macare

Jeff “Flounder” Macare and the newly crowned Rachel Macare. Talk about a lightning strike, he met a married Rachel in less than a year. Um, in the meantime, I put in a bunch of overtime at work and read Harry Potter. Anyway, only 4 of us sat at the table for 8, so we all […]

Beautiful Corona

Went out for a visit to my sister’s. Affordable homes, lots of land, 3 car garages, easy freeway access, beautiful scenery…. um… ok, that’d be no on the last one. Lovely Corona, California where the hills are not alive with the sound of music. In fact, most times you can’t even see them.

Attitude And Spidey

More behind the scenes of the entertainment world. This note just had to be on a BMW SUV too… Apparantly you got to pull the ‘tude to show ’em who’s boss. Let’s see, stage 25 is the set of “The King of Queens”, it’s a lead actor…? So Alex, what’s your prediction for the big […]

I Can Do That

This photo has motivation. Ever seen those photos of palm trees silhouetted against a sky? Kind of like some of these. [LINK] Friday night at The Grove Jill commented about a photo of palm trees she liked. I boldly stated, “I can shoot one of those, and I don’t even have to leave Park La […]

Baby Stuff

Charlie and Lisa are just weeks away from being parents. They’re scared shitless. Oh my God, I’m at a baby shower. Babies have this amazing power of 10. Ever try and have a conversation about philosophical things when a baby is in the room? Doesn’t happen. They can suck the life out of any conversation. […]

Vandenberg Air Force Base

Wargames create beautiful sunsets. A Minuteman II missle was launched from Vandenberg AFB tonight. According to the launch schedule the unarmed warhead and decoys were on a ballistic (non-orbital) trajectory to the Pacific. An interceptor launched from Meck Island was to attempt an intercept of the warhead. Remember the acronyms ICBM and MIRV’S? This is […]

Versaille Cuban Restaurant

This restaurant sucks. Cuban food sucks. I know I’m alone on this. This photo sucks. None of these people suck though. Mark, from PDI, joined us for lunch as he was in L.A. working at Dreamworks for a bit. So we treated him to a Sony hangout.

The Magic Of Cinema

Don’t read this if you’re young and naive and believe movie stars really do stunts and stuff. Living in L.A. can be funny. The magic of movie making. Cruising down the road is Bob the actor in his Audi TT on the back of a camera truck. They just HAD to have this shot I […]

It’s All About Sandro

If you have ugly hobbit feet, don’t wear open toe shoes. If you still go ahead and wear open toe shoes, your toes must not hang off the front of your them. Yuck. Oh and while I’m at it… Girls? Toe rings. I know they’re all the rage, but toe rings started to be worn by girls who had cute feet. It accentuated their already cute feet. 95% of the population do not have cute feet. If you don’t have nice feet, do not, I repeat, do not wear toe rings no matter how tempting and cute they look on your friends feet. They look cute on your friends feet because their feet are cute. Your feet are ugly. Do not draw any more attention to the fact that your feet are ugly by placing a shiny ring on them. Your boyfriend’s opinion does not count. He is lying. Do not kid yourself. Please. Do us all a favor. Thank you, and I’ll be checking with an extremely condescending eye. I’m serious.

The Anyone Den

I had my taxes done this morning and then had lunch with my parents and sister after that. Got a load of money back, oh my. The last three months have been very green. After that I called up Riz to see if he was around. He just got back from Anyone’s first tour ’round […]

Vasquez Rocks

The best picture of the trunk and rear window of my car I’ll ever take. I can stop trying now. Out at Vasquez Rocks on Highway 14. After a quick visit with Charles and Lisa in Burbank I took a little detour up Highway 14 to Vasquez Rocks. I camped here quite a few times […]

Olvera Street

Don’t forget to hang your Jesus crucifix, and make sure there’s one looming over you in every room. It makes it more fun that way. Nothing like a bloodied and dying martyr to cheer up a room. Ok, now that I’ve offended some people, it’s ok, it all ends happily. He comes back a few days later and stuff. You can even bathe or date him now [LINK].

Sheryl Crow’s 40th Birthday Party at The El Rey

[SHERYL CROW 40TH BIRTHDAY PARTY GALLERY] Finally! Kathleen and I had chased Sheryl Crow all over the west coast from “Lilith Fair” in Washington to “The Bridge School Benefit” in San Francisco, it was about time we caught a whole show. Instead of the half hour slots at all the festivals. We vowed that whenever […]

Los Alamitos Race Track

I’d like to think Monica [LINK], somewhere someplace, felt a sharp pain in her stomach everytime I bet that way. I also think she would laugh at me because I lost my money on every race. Listen to your girlfriends, they just might be right.

Imageworks Ski Trip To Mammoth

On the road with Sony’s 4th annual ski trip. Sometimes there’s nothing like watching the world go by the window. All cameras should have a function where you can only shoot photos the hour or two during sunset. I’m sitting with 50 other people on a bus to L.A. and they’re watching a movie. “The […]

The Cold Cold Moon

It was 100 degrees below zero when I shot this. Ok, only 30 below. Running from car to my house, because it was so cold, I looked up and was kinda pissed that the moon looked so spectacular. This photo’s about my freezing ass more than the moon. In the 10 minutes I was in […]

Disneyland… Again

So, I was supposed to be up in Big Bear today snowboarding. But noooooo…. I got conned into not going because corn dogs from Disneyland are my known weakness. It’s my catnip. Only one problem in this scenario. Half of friggin’ Disneyland was closed and the corn dog cart had gone missing. Splash Mountain – […]

Dinner At Brigitte’s

Brigitte had a dinner party. It was really great and all, but first things first, let me get to her “ON” TV box. I have an obsession with this thing for some reason. I think it’s total retro chic. I remember my neighbor John Boyles had one. I liked the fact that when you wanted […]

Concrete Blonde At The El Rey

What happened to Concrete Blonde? The only thing good about this show was that it was close to home. They need to re-retire. I’ve seen their shows at The Greek Theater and The Wiltern and they were amazing. Tonight it was like watching a twitching dog that’s been hit by a car. It was a […]

Olympic Torch Relay

The Olympic torch went right down my street and stopped at La Brea Tar Pits. I was floored by the amount of people on the streets around Wilshire and Curson. Thousands. The torch was brought into the Tar Pits where it stayed for about 10 minutes. I didn’t know who was holding the torch until […]
