Art, Hunchbacks, and the Eiffel Tower

Today I woke up about 10:30 from a dead sleep and just layed in bed for another 45 minutes. Guess I was tired!

Montmartre

After getting from Gare du Nord to the hotel in Montmartre I think it was a good choice.

London to Paris

Today’s a travel day so it should be mellow. We checked out of the hotel at noon after sitting in a Starbucks this morning.

Bath is Beautiful

After the Stonehenge moment I was happy to finally get out to Bath, which is a beautiful town.

Behold The Awesomeness

This morning headed out early to hit Windsor Castle, Stonehenge and Bath. Way early, I’m bleary eyed right now writing this at midnight.

O2 Wireless Festival Hyde Park

GOGOL BORDELLO JUST RULED THE DAY! They were so awesome I loved every minute they were on stage.

Dear Mom, Cadavers are Cool.

Dear Mom,I went to an exhibit today that you would consider to be a house of horrors. I found it terribly interesting.

Random London Wanderings

Things I learned today, Beefeaters really did eat beef, police “Bobbies” got their name from police chief “Robert”, Guy Fawkes real name was Guido Fawkes, Henry the VIII was pretty much an idiot, the London Eye is not for the claustrophobic, the Thames still has eels as I saw a bird eating one, I still laugh at the unfortunate street named “Cockspur”, I just laughed writing that, hands down Harrod’s hires the most insanely beautiful women, I kind miss all the pigeon’s at Trafalger Square, Star of India might be a good place to eat but it doesn’t open at 5pm.

Tourists

Played tourist today and just traveled around the city taking in some sights. Hopped on and off the bus until lunch when we hit Nando’s in Soho.

Def Leppard & Cheap Trick at The Hammersmith Apollo

Aw yeah… Rock Rock ’til you drop!

The Start of Europa Tour 2006

European Vacation 2003

[IRELAND] [LONDON] [BARCELONA] [PRAGUE] Finally finished all the photos and videos for the trip to Europe last Oct/Nov 2003. Ireland, London, and Prague have little video clips I shot along the way to get a vibe. Prague is quite extensive, while Barcelona is quite short as I was only there a few days. You can […]

Barcelona And Stiges

Barcelona

I was happy to be leaving London today to hopefully recover from this sickness with some warmth. A few days in Barcelona should cure my ills. I arrived around 6:00pm and Alex was there at the airport. So good to see him and we headed up to the city for some xurros and hot xocolate. […]

16 Horsepower at The University Of London

Last day in London and I don’t even want to move. Thought I’d just lay low and try and get a little better. I did have to go out to the University Of London to find out where the show is. That was going to drain me so I tried and be mellow about it. […]

Les Miserables And Millennium Dome

For a lack of anything better to do I decided to go out and see what had become of the Millennium Dome. Well, nothing had become of the Millennium Dome actually. How sad, the giant tent like structure is still sitting along the Thames but there’s nothing but weeds growing up around it. On a […]

Hot Hot Heat at The London Astoria & Abbey Road

Tonight’s show? “Hot Hot Heat” [LINK] at the London Astoria!! Man, I love this band. Do yourself a favor and get into them. Did my usual morning visit to see the venue where the show is going to be. Then I headed out for some sight seeing. I went back to Abbey Road Studios. There’s […]

Daniel Lanois at Shepherd’s Bush Empire

Got up this morning and had to get over to Shepherd’s Bush to find the Empire theater for tonight’s concert, Daniel Lanois [LINK]. I didn’t even have a street name so when I got off the Tube I asked a guy at McDonald’s and he pointed across the park at these two tall buildings. He […]

Piccadilly Circus, Oh Joy

Said my goodbyes to Ireland this morning and onto London. I’m really starting to hate London more each time I go. Between Heathrow airport and the flu and virus toxic zone known as the Underground, I can think of many other places I’d rather be. I am here for concerts though, so that’s good. After […]
