Formby Beach

Oh hey! Day two! Look at that! Already? Where does the time go? Got up this morning and did some site seeing around sleepy little Liverpool. Sunday morning, where is everybody? Quite a change from the night before. Checked out the cathedral and walked around it for a bit. So now we’re off to Formby, […]

Arrival in Liverpool

A long day awaits me. I woke up this morning and went to work as normal, but with the added stress of knowing I wasn’t going to get back to the house if I forgot anything. My flight wasn’t until 9:30pm so I just had to get there a few hours before. No big deal […]

Charles Phoenix / Spider-man 3-Surf’s Up! Wrap Party / Culver City Hot Rod Show

Friday I got myself double booked with a show at the John Anson Ford Theatre and Imageworks’ wrap party for Spider-man 3 and Surf’s Up. First up was Charles Phoenix. He’s this guy that… well, it’s kinda hard explain, but it’s very Southern California kitsch. He collects slides from the 40’s 50’s 60’s and basically […]

Mission Santa Barbara

This weekend I headed up to Santa Barbara for a couple little road trips. Saint Barbara? Who knew? [LINK] First on Saturday to see a friend of the family’s daughter’s class project from Brooks Institute of Photography [LINK] and see a little bit of Santa Barbara. Then to Ojai on Sunday for a little birthday […]

A Whole Bunch of Things

Way back on December 6th, 2006 Christian Cunningham wrote: “So my prediction? Happy Feet will be taking home the Oscar for best animated picture this year. You heard it here first. Ben made it a beautifully lit film, and if it doesn’t? I’m going over to the Academy building and throw eggs at it. You […]

Santa Monica Pier

Now, that I feel up to it…

The Bizarro World of Joshua Tree National Park

[JOSHUA TREE 2007 PHOTO GALLERY 1280×980] Hit the desert for a few days and I can honestly say it’s rather strange being off of the grid. As in no computer and no phone at all. No access if I even wanted it. Strangest is no cell phone. No signal whatsoever. You kind of look down […]

Watts Towers / Nuestro Pueblo by Simon Rodia

[Watts Towers, Los Angeles – Info] L.A.’s own Antoni Gaudi. A skeletal Sagrada Familia in the heart of South Central. Called up [ Adnan ] this morning and we headed over to the Watts Towers. This is one of those places I’ve been meaning to go to my entire life. Lot’s of elementary school trips […]

The Grand Central Market

[Grand Central Market – Info] I’d write the whole story about how I was kicked out of here for *taking pictures of people* (oh please) but that’s all that really needs to be said. It was the standard “private property” excuse and so on. So don’t go to Grand Central Market to shoot photos or […]

Mo’ Betta

[The Bradbury Building, Downtown Los Angeles – Info] So, yeah. I know. It’s really big. But when I first started this website 6 years ago it was a place for my stuff. Photography in general, but whatever came along would be welcomed. Then I got all chatty for some reason and since it’s harder to […]

Serendipitous Discoveries

Renaissance Faire, 1992 A long time ago I went out shooting with a friend of mine. Back then with film cameras some of them you hand cranked the film back into the canister. At least with my Nikon you had too. Accidently I didn’t crank one of the rolls all the way back and the […]

XREZ: The Monster Truck of Photography

This is why I love photography. It’s art, science, math, travel all rolled up into one.

Hong Kong Wrap Up

[COMPLETE HONG KONG 2006 PHOTO GALLERY 1280×980] [HONG KONG TIMELAPSE VIDEO]

Exit from Hong Hong

Ok, I’m going to try and type this on the bompiest plane ride eer.

Macau

Brought my passport and all was good. I read all sorts of things about booking your ferry trip back because they fill up on the weekends.

Thanksgiving, Macau, Kowloon or The New Territories

In case you didn’t know, Sha Tin Wai is not the same as Wong Tai Sin…. But that’s only $4.50 US. Which in turn makes the ferry to Kowloon only .21 cents. That’s all, off to Macau.

Hong Kong & Disneyland

In case you didn’t know, Sha Tin Wai is not the same as Wong Tai Sin…. But that’s only $4.50 US. Which in turn makes the ferry to Kowloon only .21 cents. That’s all, off to Macau.

Lantau Island

I didn’t go in to Hong Kong today and stayed on Lantau which was just incredible…. They’re all starting to look the same and worldwide they all have the same shops anyway.

Ocean Park

Hit an oceanarium thing today called Ocean Park. The weather outside was a total fright.

Hong Kong Exploration

I got up and looked into the ferry from Lantau to Hong Kong…. Grabbed and funny little sandwich in the terminal and hopped aboard.
